Early Bird Discounts: For May/June camps, register before May 20, 2013 to received the discount. For July/August camps, register before July 1, 2013 to receive the discount.
Due to increasingly busy schedules we are offering 4-H Adventure camp 4 different times this year in hopes that if one date doesn't work for you another one is available.

Livestock Camp
Ages: 8 and up
Date: May 28 - June 1
Fee: $225 $220 (Early Bird)
- Learn to groom, clip, and show livestock, and make a rope halter to take home.
- Test your knowledge with quiz bowl activities.
- Please indicate on your registration what species of animal you plan to bring to camp (youth are encouraged to bring their own livestock).
- No swine or rabbits allowed.

Wish I Had a Horse Camp
Ages: 8 - 10
15 Camper Limit
Date: May 28 - June 1
Fee: $225 $200 (Early Bird)
- Bring your parent or adult to help. One chaperone per three campers is required.
- Five horses will be provided. A riding helmet and hard-soled boots with less than a 1/8-inch tread are required.
- Activities include learning to saddle, bridle, ride, lead and drive a horse.
- Other activities include grooming demonstrations, contests and a halter show.
Outdoor Adventure for Military Youth Camp
Ages: 8 to 12
Date: June 2-6
Fee: $75 $55 (Early Bird)
- This camp is specifically designed for youth from military-connected families (dependents, siblings, nieces and nephews, etc.) from all military branches.
- Enjoy a variety of fun camp activities, sing camp songs, roast marshmallows and participate in skits. Some sessions will focus on the life events youth face as a military family member.
- Participate in outdoor activities such as archery, nature hikes and a hands ATV simulator.
Barrel & Pole Camp
Ages: 8 and older
Date: June 2-6
Fees: $225 $200 (Early Bird)
- This is a basic camp for you and your horse. (Horses must be well-trained and the campers able to saddle, bridle and care for their horse.)
- This camp deals strictly with barrels and poles. Campers will learn barrel and pole patterns, horse nutrition, training, selection and general care.
- Horses must be well-mannered in a group setting away from home. Campers must be able to ride at a trot/lope. A helmet and hard-soled boots with less than a 1/8-inch tread are required.
- Show off your skills with fun horseback games on the last day of camp. (The games begin at 10 a.m. Parents are welcome)

Horsemanship Camp
Ages: 8 and older
Date: June 2-6
Fee: $225 $200 (Early Bird)
- This is a basic camp for you and your horse. (Horses must be well-trained and the campers able to saddle, bridle and care for their horse.)
- Learn how to become a better rider and practice common 4-H horse show classes (showmanship, horsemanship, pleasure and trail). Learn about horse nutrition, training, selection and general care.

4-H Adventure Camp: I

- Have Fun With Recreation: Large-group games and sports will keep you involved with the other campers and having fun.
- Create With Arts and Crafts: Explore your creative abilities and express yourself.
- Explore Nature: Explore the many natural wonders in and around camp, such as nature trails, animal tracks, birds and trees. Spend time learning a few basic outdoor skills.
- Engage in 4-H Activities: From shooting sports to healthy living, experience adventure and learn new life skills.

Advanced Wish I Had a Horse Camp
Ages:10 to 12
10-camper limit
Date: June 9-13
Fee: $225 $200 (Early Bird)
- Five horses will be provided. Campers must know the basics of riding. A riding helmet and hard-soled boots with less than a 1/8-inch tread are required.
- You will review saddling and bridling, and learn to understand your horse.
- Activities include trotting, loping, horse safety, obstacle courses and more intensive ground work.
48 Hours Camp
Ages: 13 to 18
Date: June 14-16
Fee: $175 $150 (Early Bird)
- Take a weekend off and join your friends for 48 hours of camp fun!
- Immerse yourself in the 1960s with tie-dye, leather craft, jewelry making, trivia and other experiences.
- Stay up late for campfires, stories, games and stargazing and then sleep in after the merriment.
- Bring your best outfit(s) for the '60s and be ready for a groovy time.

Shooting Sports Camp
Ages: 11 and older
Date: June 16-20
Fee: $225 $200 (Early Bird)
This camp is intended for youth ages 11 and older wanting to fill the requirements of North Dakota Hunter Education.
- Hunter Education instruction requires a minimum of 14 hours in classroom-style sessions.
- Youth ages 12 and older will achieve ATV certification.
- Instructors will conduct live-fire sessions in shotgun, archery and black powder.
- Learn about basic first aid, tree stand safety, furbearers and trapping skills.

Clover Camp
Ages: 6 to 8 (must be accompanied by a parent/guardian)
Date: June 21-22
Fee: $125 (for one adult and one child; each additional child is $40) $115 (Early Bird)
- This is a great first-time overnight camp experience.
- Explore the outdoors and learn about birds and other wildlife.
- Campers will participate in craft projects and lots of other fun activities.
- Come see why kids have so much fun at camp!

Survivor Outdoor Recreation Camp
Ages: 9 & up
Date: June 23-27
Fee: $225 $200 (Early Bird)
- Enjoy North Dakota 4-H Camp's eighth annual rendition of the Survivor Game.
- Campers will compete to win team "challenges," including mud pit action, a water obstacle course, after-dark challenges and team competitions, for the coveted immunity idol.
- Nightly tribal council ceremonies will result in rewards and loss of privileges.
- Team building, leadership and self-confidence will be the ultimate outcome for campers.

4-H Adventure Camp II
Ages: 8 to 12
Date: July 7-11
Fee: $225 $200 (Early Bird)
- Engage in 4-H Activities: From shooting sports to healthy living, experience adventure and learn new life skills.
- Create With Arts and Crafts: Explore your creative abilities and express yourself.
- Have Fun With Recreation: Large-group games and sports will keep you involved with other campers and having fun. Campers will face challenges over the mud pit and chill while going down the huge new waterslide.
- Explore Nature: Explore the many natural wonders around camp on our new nature trails. Animal tracks, birds and trees along the Missouri River provide a wonderful outdoor classroom.

Trail Riding Camp
Ages: 8 and older
Date: July 7-11
Fee: $225 $200 (Early Bird)
- This camp will build your confidence and basic horsemanship skills.
- Campers will work safely with their horse by learning techniques such as moving their horse our of their space, properly leading their horse, doing a one-rein stop, and crossing a bridge and other obstacles.
- Campers must be able to care for the horse and ride at a trot/lope. A riding helmet and hard-soled boots with less than a 1/8-inch tread are required.
- Take a trail ride around the 4-H camp along the Missouri River among the cottonwoods, applying skills learned at camp.
Family Fun Camp
Ages: 6 and older
Date: July 11-13
Fee: $225 (for a family of four; each additional family member is $50) $200 (Early Bird)
Bring the whole family to share camp activities. Parents are invited to join in the fun. Younger brothers and sisters will love the chance to play, and everyone can experience camp activities together.
- Choose to experience in-depth fiber arts, outdoor skills activities or general 4-H learning.
- Guided activities include nature walks, special kids' games and activities and hands-on natural history programs.
- Enjoy time together as you experience the outdoors in a beautiful setting!
- Primitive Campers/RV spots are available. Contact the Center for 4-H for more information.

Military Youth Camp I
Ages:8 to 11
Date: July 14-18
Fee: $75 $55 (Early Bird)
- This camp is sponsored by Operation: Military Kids and is intended only for youth who are members of military families.
- Youth will grow in areas such as self-confidence and independence through adult-lead activities.
- Campers will form lifelong bonds with other military youth.
- Military-based curriculum will be intertwined with traditional camp activities.
- Campers will develop resiliency skills through team-building activities such as friendly competitions, water fun and mud pit action.

Military Youth Camp II
Ages: 12 to 15
Date: July 14-18
Fee:$75 $55 (Early Bird)
- This camp is sponsored by Operation: Military Kids and is intended only for youth who are members of military families.
- Youth will strengthen their leadership skills while completing action-packed activities.
- Military-based curriculum will be intertwined with traditional camp activities.
- Campers will form lifelong bonds with other military youth.
- Campers will develop self-confidence through team-building games, skill-building activities and social interaction.

4-H Adventure Camp: III
Ages: 8 to 12
Date: July 28 - Aug. 1
Fee: $225 $200 (Early Bird)
- Have Fun With Recreation: Large-group games and sports will keep you involved with the other campers. You are welcome to try our new waterslide or fall in the mud pit.
- Create With Arts and Crafts: Explore your creative abilities and express yourself.
- Explore Nature: Explore the many natural wonders in and around camp, such as our new nature trails, animal tracks, birds and trees. Spend time learning about entomology, basic outdoor skills and stargazing.
- Engage in 4-H Activities: From shooting sports to healthy living, experience activities such as wild kitchen science, solar cooking, building marshmallow catapults and geocaching.
- Camp will feature a special introduction to live rabbit projects and land judging.

Discover Camp
Ages: 8 to 11
Date: Aug. 1-3
Fee: $175 $150 (Early Bird)
- Come explore what 4-H camp is all about.
- Meet new friends while participating in team tasks.
- Be ready for hands-on activities that will help you discover 4-H.
- This camp is for youth who are new or have limited camping experience.

Great Outdoors Camp
Ages: 8 to 11
Date: Aug. 1-3
Fee: $175 $150 (Early Bird)
Here's your chance to learn basic outdoor skills while having fun with nature.
- Get an introduction to bugs, animal shelters, insects and plant identification.
- Learn to tie survival knots and how to find your way in the great outdoors.
- Certified instructors will conduct live-fire sessions in archery.
- Enjoy the overall 4-H camp experience with games, new friends, dances and fun.
4-H Adventure Camp: IV
Ages: 8 to 12
Date: Aug. 4-8
Fee: $225 $200 (Early Bird)
- Have Fun with Recreation: Large-group games and sports will keep you involved with the other campers and having fun.
