The Mission: To support youth of North Dakota military families from all branches of service through collaboration with community partners during all stages of deployment including peacetime.

Outdoor Adventures for Military-connected Youth
Dates: | June 5-9, 2011 |
Ages: | 8-12 |
Location: | Western 4-H Camp, Washburn |
Fee: | $190 ($75 paid by youth, remainder funded through Department of Defense/Operation: Military Kids camp grant. Register by May 16 to receive an additional $20 discount) |
- This camp is specifically designed for youth from military-connected families (dependents, siblings, nieces and nephews, etc.).
- Enjoy a variety of fun traditional camping activities along with sessions that focus on the life events youth face as a military family member.
- Learn outdoor skills such as archery, fishing and slip 'n slide.
- Make friends at camp activities such as the social and educational sessions.

Therapeutic Horseback Riding Program

Location: | Riding on Angels Wing, Felton, MN - 15 miles NE of Fargo |
Fee: | $25 (Regular cost is $480 per participant, but through Operation Military Kids, participants pay only a $25 fee.) |
- With horses as teachers, military connected youth will learn to develop skills of trust, relationship building, leadership, communication creative thinking, and probleam solving.
- The group will meet every Tuesday from either 1-3pm or 3-5pm.
- Transportation assistance is available upon request.

- This camp is intended for youth who are a members of a military family.
- Youth will work in adult-led teams to complete tasks and form bonds with other military youth.
- Youth will experience different branches of the military.
- Enjoy team-building activities such as swimming, meals with a twist, a hike and

Military Youth Camp II

- This camp is intended only for youth who are a member of a military family.
- Youth will work in teams to complete action-packed activities.
- Youth will experience leadership roles while engaged in team-building events.
- Camp activities will focus on military tactics and fun.
- Enjoy an obstacle course, shooting sports, a day off-site, dancing, campfire chats, and much more.

Heroes @ Home Camps
Ages: 5 – 12
Registration Fee: $10 per camper
Time: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Audience: designed for youth from military connected families (dependents, siblings, nieces & nephews, etc.) from all military branches.

Children of military families are invited to attend a special day of events designed just for them! Military families know firsthand about the stress of Deployments, whether it is in the state or in another part of the world. Kids can take a break from their summer routine and spend the day with other military kids!
- Outdoor Activities, Games, Great Food !
- Deployment and Reintegration Activities geared for kids
- Additional supervision will be provided half hour before and after the Day Camp.
