National Archery In The Schools Program in North Dakota

The NASP state program was started in 2005 with a joint effort between ND Game and Fish Department and the ND Center for 4-H Youth Development. The program has been delivered to nearly half the K-12 schools in the state. In addition, 2500 youth are involved in 4-H shooting sports NASP certified archery clubs and activities across North Dakota. Both agencies continue strong efforts to recruit and train instructors to bring NASP to local communities.

4-H NASP Matches

National Archery In The Schools is an archery program that hopes to provide an opportunity for children of all ages and abilities. The equipment and training are standardized so that everyone begins on even terms. Competition is completed with all standardized equipment and range setup. Information for school grants is posted on the North Dakota Game and Fish website when matches are available or contact Jeff Long.

The North Dakota 4-H Shooting Sports Program hosts a NASP division at the State 4-H shoot. Standard NASP equipment is required. We will have bows and arrows available for use at the tournament. For tournament information check out the Shooting Sports Contest page on this website or email Adrian Biewer.
