Family Financial Planning Certificate

Family Financial Planning (FFP) Certificate is a collaborative, inter-institutional program offered by web-based distance education. The Certificate courses meet the educational requirements necessary to take the CFP® Certification Examination. The six courses listed below are required for the Certificate Program. All of these courses are available each calendar year.

  1. CDFS 762 Retirement Planning, Employee Benefits and the Family, 3 credits

  2. CDFS 763 Personal Income Taxation, 3 credits

  3. CDFS 765 Insurance Planning for Families, 3 credits

  4. CDFS 766 Estate Planning for Families, 3 credits

  5. CDFS 770 Fundamentals of Financial Planning, 3 credits

  6. CDFS 771 Investing for the Family's Future, 3 credits

This online graduate program is registered by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. CFP® and Certified Financial Planner® are federally registered service marks of the Certified Financial Planner® Board of Standards, Inc. They are granted by the CFP® Board to those persons who have fulfilled a comprehensive educational requirement, passed the CFP® Certification Examination, satisfied a work experience requirement, and agreed to abide by the CFP® Board code of ethical conduct.
