  • Soil health and water quality impacts of growing energy beets for advanced biofuel production in North-Central United States. Funded by USDA NIFA Foundational Program (PI)
  • Evaluating how market and policy affect cellulosic biofuel feedstock production in marginal land of Upper Midwest and its consequences on water sustainability in a changing climate. Funded by USDA NFA Bioenergy Challenge Program (co-PI)
  • Drainage, plant type, cover crops mixtures, soil amendments, and residue cover impacts on water quality and productivity in the Northern Great Plains. Funded by NRCS National CIG Grant (co-PI)
  • Application of SWAT for estimating nutrient loads to Lake Ashtabula (ND) under different climate scenarios. Partially funded by North Dakota State Resources Research Institute (PI)
