Since it is getting more difficult to obtain a state rate in Bismarck, the Office of Management & Budget has put together a listing of hotels in the Bismarck-Mandan area.  This listing below shows which hotels honor the state rate and if there are any restrictions.  The state rate should be obtained whenever possible. 

If the state rate is unavailable, NDSU employees will need to secure proper documentation of attempts to find a room at a state rate and that advance NDSU Accounting Office approval was received to reimburse the higher rate.
