Program Overview

Design, marketing and the rapidly changing retail industry provide different challenges in the fast paced world of apparel and textiles. At NDSU you can gain the skills to develop new products, predict fashion trends or manage your own business.

•  Our program is affiliated with the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Students may earn credit as visiting students or may enroll for a year of study in New York and earn an associate degree from FIT

•  The apparel studies option can be combined with a minor in communication, history, visual arts, theatre arts or other areas. The retail merchandising option includes a business minor.

•  Our graduate work in good paying jobs with national and international firms in the apparel and textile industry.
