President's Council on Alcohol & Other Drugs
The President's Council on Alcohol and Other Drugs (PCAOD) was appointed in the fall of 2007 and is comprised of individuals representing faculty, staff, and students at NDSU. The Council is not seeking to eliminate the use of alcohol, but rather to significantly reduce the high-risk use that leads to problems for individuals and the community.
The council recently completed a three-year strategic plan addressing alcohol and other drug abuse. The strategic plan included accountability at all levels, was far reaching in scope, included measurable outcomes, and reflected the core values of the University. A Final Report outlining the efforts, accomplishments, and progress made as a result of the strategic plan is now available. The council plans to develop and release a new strategic plan by Fall 2013.
