Nov. 27-28 Storm. Some news
reports labeled the ice storm and the following blizzard on November 27 and 28 as
one of the worst in North Dakota. It certainly did no favors to our antennas on
top of the EE building. These pictures were taken the next day. If you look
closely, you can still see some of the ice on what was left of the antennas.
(Incidently, the white specks on the following pictures
are snow flakes.)
Our not-so-vertical HF vertical antenna
Our VHF tower now has a lean to it
Our doublet was badly damaged, but the feedline was still OK
One of the doublet supports no longer does any supporting.
