MIS Major

The Management Information Systems Major is a four-year, 130 credit hour program that leads to a Bachelor of Science degree. The major is a collaborative effort by the faculty of two disciplines: Management Information Systems and Computer Science. The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree provides sufficient background and skills to support a successful career in technical computing (for example, programmer, systems analyst, or systems designer), systems or network administration, database administration, information technology management, sales, or technical sales support. Students pursuing an MIS major typically earn a Computer Science minor.

Requirements and recommended curriculum presented here reflect the most current catalog year (2007-2008). For more information contact an advisor in the Department of Accounting and Information Systems.

For recommended curriculum, previous curriculum guides, and forms check out the Guide to a Degree.
