Schneider joins AE2S:
  AE2S (Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc.) has hired Rocky Schneider as a public affairs strategist in the firm's Fargo, ND office.  He will be facilitating public dialogue involving several projects, including the Fargo-Moorhead Area Diversion Project.  Prior to joining AE2S, Schneider worked at the Home Builders Association of Fargo-Moorhead as Director of Public Affairs, and has extensive experience working with elected officials on policy issues in the Red River Valley.   "I am passionate about building policy through public interaction and come from a family that has encouraged dedication to public service," says Schneider.   Originally from Fargo, Schneider has an MBA degree from NDSU and a BS of communications from the University of Minnesota.  He previously served as a registered lobbyist for the Home Builders Association of Fargo-Moorhead, a member of the City of Fargo's Community Development Committee, President of the Friends of the Fargo Public Library, a Steering Committee member of Fargo's GO2030 comprehensive plan, Chair of The Chamber of Commerce's Regulatory Committee, and a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.


Marohl hired at congressional office:  North Dakota Rep.-elect Kevin Cramer announced Friday the first round of staff hires for his congressional offices in North Dakota and Washington, DC.  House members can hire as many as 18 full-time and four part-time employees.  Cramer said in a news release that he plans to leave some positions open for "future opportunities" and as "needs are presented".  Chris Marohl was hired as a legislative assistant.  Marohl worked at the North Dakota PSC for two years as a public utilities analyst.  Marohl earned his bachelor's degree in finance from North Dakota State University.


Gate City promotes Warner:  Gate City Bank, Fargo, has promoted Kevin Warner to business lending manager.   Warner has been employed at Gate City for 10 years and has been an underwriter for personal and business lending.  He is a graduate of North Dakota State University.


Jordheim promoted at Heartland Trust:  Heartland Trust Co., Fargo, has promoted Neil Jordheim to executive vice president.   Jordheim has been with Heartland Trust for 18 years.  He is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a degree in business management.


RDO Equipment announces hire:
  RDO Equipment Co. has hired Cassidy Langerud as an accounts payable processor in their field support office in Fargo.   Langerud previously worked at Cargill Financial Service Center and earned a bachelor's degree in finance from North Dakota State University.


Davis promoted at Bell State Bank and Trust: 
Bell State Bank and Trust has promoted Jeremy Davis to personal banking officer at the branch at 3100 13th Ave S in Fargo.  Originally from Devils Lake, ND, Davis earned bachelor degrees in finance and business administration from North Dakota State University.  He has been in the banking field for three years.  He started his career at Bank of the West, and he joined Bell State Bank in 2012 as a customer service specialist.


Entzion promoted at Dak Tech Computers:  DakTech Computers, Fargo, has promoted Matt Entzion to vice president of sales and marketing.  Entzion has worked in various leadership roles in the pharmaceutical industry, most recently as a manager in the vaccine division of GlaxoSmithKline.  He is a graduate of Moorhead High School and North Dakota State University, with a degree in business administration.


Record Keepers hires Rau as billing specialist:
  Chelsey Rau has joined Record Keepers as billing and records retention specialist for the Fargo and Bismarck offices.  A native of Wahpeton, ND, Rau earned a BS degree in management and marketing from North Dakota State University.  She has five years of prior office administration experience.


Christiansen joins Fargo accounting firm:  Aric Christiansen has joined the staff at Fiebiger, Swanson, West and Co. as a staff accountant in the Fargo office.  Christiansen graduated from North Dakota State University with a BS in accounting.  


Financial Specialists join Red River Financial:    Justin Wren and Derek Drege have joined Red River Financial Group, Fargo, ND.   Wren is originally from Aberdeen, SD, and is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a BS in marketing.   He has been in the financial services industry since 2010.  Drege is a graduate of NDSU with a degree in marketing, and is originally from Casselton, ND.   He has worked in the financial services industry since 2011.  


Schoenberg joins SagePoint Financial:
  Ann Schoenberg has joined SagePoint Financial as a financial adviser.   Schoenberg will work at the Cornerstone Financial Group office in Fargo, and is Series 7 and Series 66 registered and licensed in life, health and long-term care insurance.   Schoenberg earned a bachelor's degree in finance from North Dakota State University and has been working in the financial services industry for four years.  


SK food International announces hire:   SK Food International, Fargo, has hired Kevin Nordsven as a senior accountant.  Nordsven has a bachelor's degree in accounting from North Dakota State University and has seven years of experience in public accounting, software support and private industry accounting.


Wallace joins Western State Bank:
  Western State Bank, West Fargo, has hired Mark Wallace as a credit analyst.   Wallace was previously a credit analyst at Choice Financial, Fargo.   A native of Northwood, ND, he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from North Dakota State University.


Thomas joins Odney as administrative assistant:
  Samantha Thomas has joined Odney's Fargo office as an administrative assistant.   Thomas has six years of administrative experience.   She also owned a small business for four yearas.   Samantha is a graduate of NDSU with a degree in business administration.


Nicolette Neutz promoted:  
Nicolette Neutz, CPA, was promoted to manager at HLB Tautges Redpath (HLBTR) in the firm's Audit and Accounting Services division.   Neutz specializes in not-for-profit organizations.  Neutz joined the firm a year ago from another local accounting firm.   She serves on the board of the Vadnais Heights Economic Development Corporation as its treasurer and is an NDSU graduate with a degree in accountancy.   HLBTR is a full-service certified public accounting firm, and is 100-percent employee-owned. The firm provides services to closely held businesses, not-for-profits, individuals and government entities.   With more than 100 employees in the White Bear Lake office, the firm ranks in the top 15 largest CPA firms in the Twin Cities area.


Todd Schnell receives recognition:   Todd W. Schnell, vice president and senior associate general counsel at RBC Capital Markets, was recognized by the Association of Corporate Counsel as a 2012 Value Champion in Orlando, FL.  The ACC Value Challenge is based on the concept that law departments can use management practices that enhance the value of legal service spending and that law firms can reduce their costs to corporate clients and still maintain strong profitability.


North Dakota CPA group elects president:
  Leonice (Len) M. Spichal was elected as the president of the North Dakota Society of CPAs at the annual convention in Minor last September.   Len has been involved as an officer and board member for many years.   She has also been active with FMCPA for many years.  She is employed as the Director of Finance at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fargo.   Her previous employment was with Eide Bailly LLP as a tax associate and with Adams Development as controller.  Spichal graduated from NDSU with a degree in accounting.

The Flint Group in Fargo has hired Adam Fuller as an account coordinator.  Fuller has past experience in event programming and promotion as a student community organizer.  A graduate of NDSU, he earned a degree in marketing.  


Klath joins Goose River Bank:
  Brenda Klath has joined Goose River Bank in Hillsboro, ND, as a loan officer.   Klath earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with a minor in child development and family science from North Dakota State University, Fargo.  She attended the National Compliance School, Norman, OK, and graduated from the North Dakota Banker's School.  She has 10 years of financial service experience, including marketing, compliance and lending.


Appareo Systems hires product manager:  Joe Heilman has joined Appareo Systems, Fargo, as agriculture original equipment manufacturing product manager.  Heilman graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration.   He previously was an account manager with Pedigree Technologies, Fargo.


Butler Machinery hires Freeman:  Butler Machinery, Fargo, has hired Dan Freeman as a marketing data analyst.  Freeman graduated from NDSU with a bachelor's degree in marketing.


Hoppe joins Alerus as relationship manager:
  Jessica Hoppe has joined Alerus Financial as a relationship manager at the south Fargo location.  Hoppe has more than 12 years of experience int he financial industry.   Most recently, she was a relationship manager with US Bank.   She earned a master's degree in business administration at North Dakota State University, and a bachelor's degree in finance from Minnesota State University Moorhead.


Associate attorney joins Ohnstad Twichell:   Andrew D. Cook has joined the Ohnstad Twichell Law firm as an associate attorney.   Cook grew up in Fargo, where he graduated from NDSU with a BS degree in business administration.   He earned a law degree from the UND School of Law in Grand Forks, ND, and served as a law clerk for Judge Rodney S. Webb and for Judge Kermit E. Bye.   He will work in the litigation department in the West Fargo office.


Chamber hires Stroh as marketing coordinator:  
  Kaylyn Stroh has joined the staff of the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber as publications and program marketing coordinator.   She is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a degree in marketing and mass communications.   Stroh has more than two years of experience in graphic design and marketing, and has lived in the Fargo-Moorhead area for five years.


Gravos joins AE2S:   AE2S (Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc.) has hired Aaron Gravos as a database programmer in the firm's Watford City, ND office.   He will be part of AE2S' Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Group, and be responsible for developing programs to bridge the gap between data and user-friendly tools for operators to manage their operations on various water projects across western North Dakota.   Gravos brings more than ten years of experience in database design, development, and data warehousing.  At AE2S, he will be working on process control automation for the Western Area Water Supply Project (WAWSP).   Gravos will also be creating automated production report applications in support of WAWSP and for many AE2S clients.  "Aaron is an excellent addition to a team that is delivering much-needed water infrastructure in western North Dakota," said David Johnson, operations manager of AE2S' Williston office.   Originally from Watford City, Gravos holds a BS degree in management information systems from NDSU.  


Heartland Trust Company promotes Neil Jordheim:   Heartland Trust Company, an independent trust company located in Fargo, recently promoted Neil Jordheim to Executive Vice President.   Neil has been with Heartland Trust Company for 18 years and is a cornerstone in the growing company.  He is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a degree in business management.  "I enjoy the success of helping families and groups achieve their financial goals.   Leading Heartland Trust Company means I can ensure that our service culture keeps improving and our business and clients continue to grow,", said Jordheim.


DuToit promoted at Brady, Martz & Associates, PC:
  Stacy DuToit has been promoted to shareholder at Brady, Martz & Associates.   DuToit is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Dakota Society of Certified Public Accountants.   She currently serves on the Public Relations Committee of the North Dakota Society of CPAs.   DuToit received her bachelor's in accounting from North Dakota State University in 2000.


Tyler Franklund has been promoted to senior staff accountant at Point CPA in Bismarck.  He is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a bachelor's in accounting, emphasis in tax.


John Deer Electronic Solutions hires Jarski, Lystad:   John Deere Electronic Solutions, Fargo, has hired Heather Jarski as lab manager, and Timothy Lystad as a quality engineer.  Jarski received a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Minnesota State University Moorhead and an MBA from North Dakota State University.  Lystad graduated with an industrial engineering bachelor's degree from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and an MBA from North Dakota State University.  


Central Minnesota Credit Union has hired Tera Akin
as a personal banker.  Akin received a bachelor's degree in business administration from North Dakota State University.   She worked in the credit union industry in the Fargo-Moorhead area for more than eight years.  


Pedigree Technologies hires sales managers: 
  Jacob Krieg rejoins Pedigree and will be focusing his lead generation and sales activities in Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah.   He is a graduate of North Dakota State University, with degrees in business and finance.


CoreLink names Slaby CFO, general manager:  
Jeff Slaby has been named chief financial officer and general manager of Core-Link Administrative Solutions, Fargo.  He replaces Steve Grandfield, who has served as CoreLink's temporary CEO in addition to his permanent role as Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska's chief operations officer and executive vice president.   Slaby previously served as CoreLink's vice president of finance and human resources.  He joined CoreLink in 2010 and has more than 15 years of leadership experience, including roles as corporate controller for Border States Electric and operations manager for Cargill's North American Financial Services Center.  Slaby has an MBA and a bachelor's degree in zoology from North Dakota State University and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Minnesota State University Moorhead.


Wallwork Truck Center hires 2 in IT department:   Wallwork Truck Center in Fargo has hired Austin Skarpohl as a systems administrator I and Travis Wigdahl as a systems administrator II, both in the company's information technology department.   Skarpohl is a graduate of NDSU with a degree in management information systems and a minor in computers.  Wigdahl graduated from NDSU with a degree in management information systems.


Eide Bailly promotes Fogarty to manager level:
   Eide Bailly has promoted Thomas Fogarty to the manager level in the Fargo office.   Fogarty is a CPA and has been with the firm since 2007.  He has a bachelor of accountancy degree from UND and a master's degree from NDSU.  


Fargo Choice Financial promotes Ystebo:   David Ystebo has been promoted to credit analyst at Choice Financial's Fargo office at 4501 23rd Avenue South.  Ystebo joined Choice Financial in 2011 as a customer service representative.   He graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration.   He has previous experience as operations and office manager for the Fargo-Moorhead Builders Exchange.  


Three promoted at Alerus Financial:
  Alerus Financial has promoted Tim Rensch to lead customer service supervisor of their Fargo and West Fargo branches.    He joined Alerus in 2008 as a customer service representative and was previously a customer service supervisor.  He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from North Dakota State University.  


Flaten appointed Securian Financial rep:  Julie Flaten has been named a representative with Securian Financial Advisors of North Dakota.  Her office is located in the First and Farmers Bank in Mayville, ND.   Flaten is a graduate of North Dakota State University, and she has more than 25 years of experience in the banking industry.


Sundog in Fargo hires Ferdelman and Monson:   Sundog, a marketing and technology company in Fargo, has hired Dirk Monson as a Web developer, and Robb Ferdelman as an insights analyst.  Monson worked for 10 years as a Web developer with North Dakota State University, Minot (ND) Public Schools and as a freelancer.  He graduated from NDSU with a degree in business administration.  Ferdelman was previously a financial analyst at Bank of the West and an investment performance analyst at Wells Fargo.  He graduated from NDSU with a degree in business administration with a concentration in finance.


Town and Country Credit Union hires Kleppe:   Town and Country Credit Union in Fargo has hired Dustin Kleppe as an ag loan officer.   Kleppe has a bachelor's degree in business administration from North Dakota State University.


Vanity's corporate office hires Ames:  Kyle Ames has joined Vanity in Fargo as merchandise planner in the planning and allocation department.  Ames previously worked at Forever21, Zumiez, Spencer's Gifts and The Buckle.  He graduated from NDSU with a bachelor's degree in finance.


Intelligent InSites hires client training manager:   Jennifer Pfau has been hired as a client training manager at Intelligent InSites in Fargo.   She previously worked at Great Plains Software and Microsoft for 16 years.   Pfau has a BS in management information systems from North Dakota State University. 


Reinke, Helgeson join AgCountry Farm Credit:   AgCountry Farm Credit Services in Fargo has hired Patrick Reinke as a retail finance account manager and Sara Helgeson as title/legal documents specialist.   Reinke has a bachelor's degree in business administration from North Dakota State University and has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, most recently working as an account executive for Dealer Services Corp.  Helgeson has a bachelor's degree in accounting from NDSU.   She is a licensed abstractor in North Dakota and Minnesota, and has more than 15 years of experience in the title/legal documents field.  

 

Eide Bailly adds Lee to partnership in Fargo:  Eide Bailly has added Chris Lee as a partner in their Fargo office.   Lee has more than eight years of public accounting experience.  He joined Eide Bailly in 2004 and is a graduate of North Dakota State University, with a bachelor's degree in accounting.

 

TMI Hospitality hires Bourdon:   Fargo-based TMI Hospitality has hired Laura Bourdon as director of corporate communications.   Bourdon has 10 years of strategic communications experience in corporate and nonprofit settings, most recently serving as director of marketing and communications for Oak Grove Lutheran School in Fargo.  She earned a bachelor's degree in mass communications from Minnesota State University Moorhead, and a master's degree in business administration from North Dakota State University.

 

Hannah Sorensen joins Thrivent Financial for Lutherans in Fargo as a financial representative.  Sorensen previously worked at Legacy Wealth Management, Schultz and Associates and LUXE.  She graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor's degree in marketing and business administration.

 

Sue Hapala promoted to business manager:   Wild and Associates, Fargo, has promoted Sue Hapala to business manager.   She has worked for the company for seven years and has more than 15 years of business management experience.  Hapala is a native of Moorhead and graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in business administration.  

 

Evans joins TMI Hospitality:   Fargo-based TMI Hospitality has hired Lisa Evans as a project assistant.  Evans earned a bachelor's degree in business management from North Dakota State University.

 

Intelligent InSites hires solutions engineer:   Dan DeBilt has been hired as a solutions engineer at Intelligent InSites, Fargo.  He previously worked for Echelon Corp. as a staff software engineer.  DeBilt has a master's degree in software engineering and a bachelor's degree in management information systems from North Dakota State University.

 

Bina joins Village Business Institute:   The Village Business Institute of The Village Family Service Center, Fargo, has hired Zaundra Bina as a sales and marketing associate.  She has a bachelor's degree in business administration with specialization in public relations and organizational behavior, and a master's degree in education from North Dakota State University.   Bina has an extensive background in customer relations, training and sales.

 

TMI Hospitality hires Connell-Rick:   TMI Hospitality, Fargo, has hired Sharon Connell-Rick as vice president of human resources.  Connell-Rick has more than 15 years of HR experience in the manufacturing, banking and health care industries, most recently as vice president of HR at Essentia Health.   She received a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and a master's degree in business management from North Dakota State University.  She has been certified as a senior professional in HR since 2002.

 

KLJ hires in Bismarck office:   Rachel Oakland has been hired by Kadrmas, Lee & Jackson and will work in its Bismarck office.   Oakland is a recruiter with the human resources group.   She earned a bachelor's degree in business management from North Dakota State University.   She has one year of related experience.

 

Lawrence & Schiller hires Thorne:   Lawrence & Schiller, a regional marketing and advertising agency with offices in Sioux Falls and Deadwood, SD, has hired Amy Thorne.   Thorne, a North Dakota State University marketing graduate and a Brookings, SD, native, has been selected as a Digital Coordinator intern.

 

Western State Bank promotes Jensen to VP:   Mark Jensen has been promoted to vice president/credit department manager at Western State Bank, West Fargo.  Jensen has more than 15 years of banking experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, training and credit review.  He has been with Western since 2006.   Originally from Dickinson, ND, he graduated from North Dakota State University with BS degrees in business administration and economics in 1994.  He also earned an MBA in business administration from NDSU in 1995.  

 

Ulteig Fargo office hires Fraase:    Ulteig in Fargo has hired Justin Fraase as a brand marketing specialist.  Fraase earned a bachelor's degree in mass communications and a master's degree in business administration from North Dakota State University.  He previously worked as marketing director for Fair Hills Resort and Wildflower Golf Course, Detroit Lakes, MN.  

 

Scott Berg named VP of business banking:   Scott Berg has joined Choice Financial as vice president of business banking at the branch at 4501 23rd Ave S., Fargo.  Berg has several years of banking experience, including positions as credit analyst and senior business relationship manager.  He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from NDSU.

 

Amanda Gruer has joined Pediatric Therapy Partners in Fargo as an office assistant.   She received a bachelor's degree in business administration from NDSU.  

 

New agent joins Prudential Premier:   James Hand has joined the sales team at Prudential Premier Real Estate, Fargo.  Hand is a recent graduate of NDSU with a degree in business management.  

 

Brent Goetz has become a mortgage loan officer at BlackRidgeBANK in Bismarck.    Originally from Fargo, he graduated from NDSU with a bachelor's degree in business administration.  A Bismarck resident since 2001, Brent has more than 20 years of management and sales experience, the last five in the mortgage industry.

 

First International Bank has hired Eric Rostvedt as a credit analyst and Scott Houle as a credit review associate. Rostvedt grew up in Minot, ND, and previously worked at Town and Country Credit Union in Minot and Fargo while attending college.  He graduated from NDSU with a degree in business administration.   Houle will graduate from NDSU in May, 2012 with a bachelor's degree in finance.  

 

Fargo-based TMI Hospitality has promoted Jennifer Trzpuc to auditor and Sheila Olson and Nicole Reis to hotel accountants.   Trzpuc started with the company in 2007 in the sales tax department and later held positions in the hotel accounting department, where she was most recently the hotel accountant for Region 4.  She is an NDSU graduate with a bachelor's degree in accountancy.   Olson previously worked in the financial statement and special project divisions.  She also worked in the sales tax division and has been with the company for more than five years.  She has a business administration degree from NDSU.   Reis was most recently an accounts payable specialist.   She is a recent graduate of NDSU with degrees in accountancy, human resources, fraud and criminal justice.

 

Eide Bailly Technology hires Isaac Sando as a security analyst and penetration tester.   Sando earned a bachelor's degree in management information systems from NDSU and has 10 years of experience.  

 

Anderson named to Interim ND-EPSCoR Position:  Sheri Anderson has been named interim co-project director for the North Dakota Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (ND-EPSCoR).   Effective February 16, Anderson serves in the interim appointment for the position previously held by David Givers, who retired in January.   "Sheri Anderson is an experienced proposal writer, as well as bringing extensive organizational skill and vision to contribute to the success of research programs," said Philip Boudjouk, vice president for research, creative activities and technology transfer at NDSU and ND-EPSCoR co-chair.   Prior to her interim appointment at ND-EPSCoR, Anderson served in a variety of positions at NDSU, including associate vice president, director of operations and program development, and business and operations manager in the Office of Research.   Before joining NDSU in 1997, she served as an operations officer for an air force base redevelopment project in San Bernardino, CA, where she worked on projects for federal certification of airfield operations and security.  She holds a master's degree in business administration from NDSU.  

 

Foster Klima & Co. appoints Eric Palmquist as financial representative for the agency.  Most recently, Palmquist was store manager at The Fargo Running Co.   He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from North Dakota State University in 2007.

 

AgCountry Farm Credit Services has hired Jessica Mitchell as assistant general counsel at the corporate office in Fargo.   Mitchell previously worked for the Gray, Plant, Mooty and Bennett law firm in Minneapolis, focusing in on agribusiness, commercial lending, commercial financial services, reorganization and creditor's rights.  She has a juris doctorate degree from Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis, and bachelor's degrees in business administration and political science from NDSU.

 

The Family HealthCare Center of Fargo and Moorhead has hired Dipshikha Sharma as a Nepali medical interpreter.  Sharma graduated from NDSU in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in management, and is a native of Nepal.  

 

Brenda Jacobs Lindemann has joined the client and partner account management  team at Intelligent inSites in Fargo.  Lindemann previously worked at Microsoft and Lawson Software.   She has a business administration degree with a minor in economics from NDSU.  

 

The Fargo-Moorhead Convention and Visitors Bureau has promoted LeAnn Larson to director of tourisn sales and event services.   She has been with the bureau since 2008 as a convention sales manager.  Larson earned a bachelor's degree in business administration at NDSU, where she is also pursuing a master's degree.  

 

Eide Bailly Technology Consulting in Fargo has promoted Amber Vogel to senior business technology consultant.   Vogel has more than six years of business process improvement experience.  She is a graduate of NDSU with a bachelor's degree in business administration with a human resources concentration.  

 

RDO field support office hires Jacob Flaten and Lacey Harrington:  Flaten will work as an accounts receivable representative.   He has a degree in business administration from NDSU.   He most recently worked at State Bank and Trust as the mutual funds specialist in the wealth management operations division.  Harrington will work as a marketing specialist.  She has a business administration degree from NDSU and previously worked in the marketing department at Drayton Foods.  

 

Wells Fargo hires Erin Mayo as credit analyst:   Mayo has been hired as a credit analyst at the Moorhead Wells Fargo location.   With nearly 14 years of experience in financial services, Mayo previously worked for Wells Fargo in a variety of business and credit roles in Colorado and Minneapolis.  Most recently, she was a trust specialist for Heartland Trust Co., Fargo.   She earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from NDSU and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Mary, Fargo.  

 

Starion Financial has hired Jeremy Johnson as a vice president and marketing and communications manager.  He will lead bank-wide marketing and promotion to support sales of personal and business banking, mortgage, and insurance and investment services at the organization's locations in North Dakota and Middleton, WI.   Johnson has more than 10 years of sales and marketing experience and was previously director of admissions and marketing at Minnesota State University Moorhead.  He has a master's degree in business administration from NDSU and a bachelor's degree in marketing and economics from MSUM.   A native of Lake Park, MN, he is also a licensed realtor with Prudential Premier Real Estate in Fargo.  

 

High Point Networks in West Fargo has hired Jen McCracken as an account manager.  McCracken graduated from NDSU with a degree in business management.  She recently was employed by Infor Global Solutions.  

 

Allan Hartmann has been hired to a new position as Financial Services Director at the Anne Carlson Center in Jamestown, ND.   As Financial Services Director, Allan will assist ACC management with the financial operations of the Center and support the business office staff. “The position is a great opportunity within a wonderful organization. I want to help ACC continue to grow so that we can provide services to more and more individuals across North Dakota,” said Hartmann. Allan has completed three majors at Jamestown College to include Accounting, Business, and Management Information Science. He also holds an MBA from NDSU and a current CPA certification.

 

Diane Earl has been hired as client engagement manager at Intelligent InSites.   Earl previously worked at Microsoft and has bachelor degrees in business and economics from NDSU.  

 

Jacob Voelker has been hired as an accounting assistant at Heritage Homes in Fargo.   Voelker is a recent graduate of NDSU with a degree in accounting.

 

Reed Montgomery has joined Cornerstone Bank in Fargo as a teller.   Montgomery graduated from NDSU with a degree in business administration.  

 

Mark Wallace has been promoted to credit analyst at Choice Financial in Fargo.   Wallace joined Choice Financial in 2010 as a customer service representative and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from NDSU. 

 

Jonathan Donnelly promoted at State Bank and Trust:   Jonathan Donnelly is vice president and  branch manager at the Time Square location of State Bank and Trust in Fargo, ND.    He is a Fargo native and graduated from NDSU with a BS in business administration.   He has worked for eight years in banking and joined State Bank and Trust in 2008.

 

TMI Hospitality names Lisa Helbling as CFO:   Helbling was previously vice president of internal audit and business risk management at Otter Tail Corp.   A certified public accountant and certified internal auditor, she earned a BS in accounting at Minnesota State University Moorhead and a BS in business administration from NDSU.

 

Sherri Wakeman joins Catholic Charities ND:   Catholic Charities North Dakota in Fargo has hired Sherri Wakeman as administrative assistant in the AASK program.    Wakeman received a degree in business and facility management from NDSU.   She previously worked in material management and environmental services at Bethany Homes and Eventide.  

 

Whitney Wedum has joined Vanity's corporate offices in Fargo as an assistant buyer in the merchandising department.   Wedum previously worked at Wet Seal and Macy's in Fargo and is a graduate of NDSU with a BS in business administration.

 

Nils Eberhardt has joined the staff or Larson Latham Huettl LLP in Bismarck as an associate attorney.   He grew up in West Fargo and graduated from NDSU with a BS in business administration and in 2011 from the UND School of Law.

 

Patricia Mohamed has been hired at Phoenix International as an inventory analyst.   She earned a master's degree in business administration from NDSU.  

 

Jenna Boerger joins Record Keepers as a customer support and marketing specialist for its Bismarck and Fargo records storage and document destruction operations.  Boerger earned degrees in international business and Spanish from Concordia College, and an MBA from NDSU.  

 

Jon Bradenmeyer has joined Video Guidance as a senior sales engineer.   Video Guidance is a visual communications company based in the twin cities, and holds the contract for the state of North Dakota's video conferencing equipment, which includes services with state and local government, schools, universities and colleges, and public libraries.  Bradenmeyer has more than 23 years of industry experience.   He earned a degree in business administration from NDSU as well as numerous technical certifications from Cisco, Juniper, Avaya, Adtran, Nortel and Shore-Tel.   He previously worked for CenturyLink and Great Plains Software.

 

Nick Paulsen, CPA, has been promoted to health care manager.   An Alexandria native, he graduated from NDSU with a BS in accountancy.   He has been with LarsonAllen since 2003 and specializes in health care and manufacturing.    

 

Dane Ankeny of Glenwood has joined Thrivent Financial for Lutherans as a financial representative with the organization's Northwestern Minnesota and Eastern North Dakota Regional Financial Office.   Ankeny offers area Lutherans comprehensive financial strategies, personal customer service and a wide range of financial products.   Before joining Thrivent Financial, Ankeny worked at Menards.  He graduated from NDSU, receiving a bachelor's degree in business administration.  

 

Butler Machinery Co., Fargo, has hired Jeremy Oistad as a truck parts specialist.   Oistad studied business and finance at North Dakota State University and Minnesota State University, Moorhead.   He has 14 years of experience with the Interstate Companies in Fargo, most recently as parts manager for Interstate Power Systems.   

 

Charles Cooper has been named private banker in the Wells Fargo office in Fargo.   He most recently was a senior business relationship manager for business banking in Fargo.   Prior to joining Wells Fargo in 2003, he worked as a financial adviser for Waddell & Reed.   A native of Groton, SD, Cooper earned a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics and finance, and a master's degree in business administration, from North Dakota State University.

 

Phoenix International, a John Deere Company, Fargo, has hired Nate Weller as a manufacturing engineer.   Weller received a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and management from North Dakota State University.

 

Olive Garden, an Italian dining restaurant, opened in Minot on November 7, 2011, with Tamra Schmaltz as general manager.   As general manager, Schmaltz will be responsible for leading a team that maintains the highest quality of food, wine, and service.   "Tamra will ensure each and every guest enjoys their dining experience at our new Minot restaurant," said Dan Kiernan, executive vice president of operations for Olive Garden.  "Her track record of operational excellence makes her a great leader for our restaurant's service and culinary teams."   Schmaltz brings extensive restaurant industry experience to her new position.   She has been with Olive Garden for five years, most recently as culinary manager of the Bismarck restaurant.   Schmaltz received a bachelor's degree in business administration from NDSU in Fargo. 

 

Arizona Bank & Trust, a Heartland Financial USA Co., has hired Sherri Stern as senior mortgage loan originator and recruiter for the Fargo market.   Stern has been employed in local financial lending for 18 years and is a graduate of NDSU with a bachelor's degree in university studies, business management, and marketing.  

 

The RDO Equipment Co. field support office in Fargo has hired Daren Seney as an accountant.   Seney graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in accounting.   He previously worked for Western Products.

 

Jana Olslund Named Vice Pr4esident of Development for Hazelden.   Hazelden, the internationally renowned nonprofit addiction treatment center, has named Jana Olslund as vice president of development.   Olslund, a fundraising executive with expertise in nonprofit healthcare, education, and youth-oriented social service agencies, served most recently as vice president and chief development officer for Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.    As Hazelden's principal philanthropy strategist, Olslund will oversee the organization's capital and endowment campaigns, annual giving, donor and board engagement, and major and planned gifts.  Olslund's educational background includes a juris doctorate from Creighton University Law School, with concentrations in dispute resolution and estate planning.   She holds a BS in political science, with a minor in business administration, from NDSU.   She is a certified mediator and is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

David A. Loegering has joined Corporate Technologies in Fargo as a senior systems engineer.   Loegering is a Microsoft certified professional enterprise administrator and has 15 years of experience.   He has an accounting degree and a business administration degree from NDSU, and previously worked for Information Management Systems in customer support as a senior systems engineer.   He also previously worked in the information technology department at Magnum Transportation, Fargo.

Shawn Rehm, Fargo, an agent for Horace Mann Insurance Co., has been named a member of the company's Inner Circle, which includes the company's 10 highest producing agents.  Rehm joined Horace Mann in 2008.   He has a BS in business administration and environmental studies from Concordia College and earned an MBA from NDSU in 2008.  

 

Benjamin Stuber has joined Fiebiger, Swanson, and West as a staff accountant in the Fargo office.  He graduated from NDSU in 2010 with a BS in accountancy.  

 

Vision Bank in Fargo has hired Jon Erdmann as an information technology support/help desk assistant.   Erdmann graduated from NDSU in 2008 with a BS in management information systems, and was most recently employed by Insight Technologies, Fargo.  

 

Former NDSU men's basketball player Ben Woodside signed a one-year contract with Union Olimpija of the Euroleague.   Union Olimpija plays its home games in Ljubljana, Slovenia.   Last season, Woodside averaged 13.7 points and 5.7 assists per game for BCM Gravelines of the French League.   As a senior in 2009, Woodside led NDSU to its only appearance in the NCAA Division 1 men's basketball tournament.   Woodside graduated from NDSU in 2009 with a BS in management.  

 

Vanity's corporate office in Fargo has hired Kaylyn Stroh as a marketing specialist.  Stroh previously worked in marketing at the Bobcat Equipment Co.   She graduated from NDSU with a BS in marketing, journalism, broadcasting and mass communications technologies.  

 

Leisha Ouren has been promoted to items processing specialist at Choice Financial's bank operations center in Fargo, and Vanessa Rolewitz was promoted to health savings account customer service advisor.   Ouren has worked as a customer service representative for Choice Financial since 2007, and has previous retail customer service experience.   She graduated from NDSU in 2011 with a BS in business administration.   Rolewitz has been with Choice Financial since 2009 and previously served as a customer service representative.   She graduated from NDSU in 2011 with a BS in business administration.

 

Pedigree Technologies, Fargo, has hired Ben Woessner as an inside sales representative.   Woessner graduated from NDSU in 2011 with a BS in Business Administration, and has been working as an inside sales intern for Pedigree since November, 2010.  

 

Ulteig in Fargo has hired Brian Lundberg as an informational technology system support associate.  Lundberg graduated from NDSU in 2003 with a BS in management information systems.   He was previously employed as an IT engineer with Echelon Corp.  

 

Bremer Bank in Fargo has promoted Josh Herbold to business banker.    Herbold joined Bremer in 2007 as a credit analyst.  With more than six years of banking experience, he was previously a credit analyst at Minnwest Bank, and a customer service representative at Gate City Bank.   He earned a BS in business administration from NDSU in 2006.

Erik Gerken has joined the Red River Valley Farmers Insurance Pool in Fargo as relationship manager.   Gerken has had 16 years of risk management safety consulting experience in agribusiness with National Agribusiness Insurance.  He has a BS in microbiology from NDSU (1994), and a master's degree in management.

She has traveled extensively in Central America and helped lead in the establishment of a health clinic in Guatemala. Prior to his return to Praxis, Aasheim served in several roles for retired Senator Byron Dorgan, most recently as economic development director. In this role, he worked closely with community and state leaders, economic developers, industry executives, university officials and high tech researchers to advance a wide variety of projects. Aasheim was a project analyst with Praxis before working for Senator Dorgan. Aasheim earned his degree in business administration and minor in accounting from North Dakota State University in 2003.

Jane Strommen (BS ‘85 Business Administration) has joined ‍North ‍Dakota ‍State ‍University as project coordinator for the North Dakota Partners in Nursing Gerontology Consortium Project. The NDSU Department of Nursing and Dakota Medical Foundation received a grant for the project, which addresses nursing work-force shortages specific to gerontology in North Dakota. Strommen has more than 24 years of experience in the long-term care field, specializing in aging in rural areas. She is a graduate of NDSU and the College of St. Francis, Joliet, Ill.

Rhiannon Johnson (BS 2010, Business Administration) has joined the Bank of North Dakota (Bismarck) as a credit review analyst. Johnson, who served as an intern for two summers with BND, is a recent graduate of North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance.

Kristy McCormic, 2010 BS - Business Marketing is happy to announce her engagement to Rune Slatten from Gjøvik, Norway. The couple met during the fall semester of 2009 while Rune was studying abroad, and they shared similar courses at the NDSU College of Business.  Rune is currently teaching HS math while Kristy has started Norwegian language courses in Gjøvik to learn the native language. A July 2011 wedding is planned in Norway with a post-wedding reception back in Minnesota later in the year of 2011. In the future, the couple plans to move to Oslo, Norway to seek career opportunities there.
