Legacy leadership students of the College of Business at North Dakota State University have arranged for Healing Images to be displayed in the atrium of Bethany Homes at 201 University Drive South in Fargo, ND. These professional, gallery-wrapped images are those of Dewitt Jones, a former twenty-year National Geographic photographer, and other professional photographers.
Healing Images is a non-profit organization dedicated to filling medical facilities with healing photographic art across the country. This organization was created by Dewitt Jones in an effort to support research studies that have shown visual art helps reduce anxiety and agitation in healthcare settings. The intent of Healing Images is to make medical facilities even more beautiful and uplifting place for patients and those who work there.
How you can help contribute to making a positive difference in the community:
- Sponsor an image in memory of a loved one: A sponsorship in the facility that is currently housing the images would include permanent installation of a photograph, along with a gold plate in remembrance of your loved one to be placed underneath the photograph. The cost of sponsorship is $180.00.
