You are officially invited to celebrate the new headquarters of the College of Business, Richard H. Barry Hall.
August 24: Classes begin. The building includes
an investment center, computer labs, technology-rich classrooms
and audio-video conferencing center - all the latest in classroom
teaching tools.
September 28-October 2: Conversations with
industry leaders - a chance for business students and others to
learn from successful business leaders.
October 2: Richard H. Barry Hall will be
dedicated during Homecoming at 2 p.m.
November 6: John Erickson, president and CEO of
Otter Tail Corporation, will be recognized as the 2009
Distinguished Alumnus. Otter Tail Corporation employs nearly
4,000 people and has interests in diversified operations that
include an electric utility, manufacturing, health services, food
ingredient processing and infrastructure businesses including
plastics, construction
and transportation.
November 18-20: Kim Cameron, the William Russell
Kelly Professor of Management and Organizations at the University
of Michigan, will meet with students, faculty and business
leaders. Cameron is an author and co-founder of the Center for
Positive Organizational Scholarship at Ross School, University of
Michigan. Cameron's research is focused on organizational
downsizing, organizational effectiveness, corporate quality
culture and the development of leadership excellence.
December 19: Commencement reception at Richard H. Barry
Hall.
January 2010: Innovation Month, co-sponsored by
the NDSU Research Tech Park, will feature events, displays and
presentations by an array of innovative companies.
