Legacy program in high gear
Published: 09 September 2009 03:46 PM

Legacy is a premier undergraduate professional development program focused on team-oriented leadership. The program is rooted in four core values of honesty, respect, trust, and relationships. A Professional Development Program is an organized set of seminars and activities, which provide the participants with the opportunity to explore, discover, ponder, challenge, learn, transform, and/or renew some facet of their work/life. Those students selected in the fall spend two semesters in the Legacy Program. The members enhance their team player and team leader competencies by taking part in seminars, assisting in running the Legacy Program, presenting professional seminars to business executives, and serving the College of Business. In addition, most Legacy members take a trip to New York City both to build competencies and to share knowledge with business leaders in New York.

The College's Legacy Program was founded (2008-09) by the Business Ambassadors and is run by associate dean, Tim Peterson. Students are invited to apply early in the fall semester. If accepted, they start the year-long program in the spring. To learn more visit the legacy web page.
