Scholarship Application FAQs
- What is the physical format of the essay? The essay should be double-spaced with 1” margins in 12 pt. Times New Roman. (See #7 below.)
- What should be included in the cumulative grade point average? Only courses completed at NDSU should be included in the cumulative grade point average. Transfer courses are not included.
- What is included in the total credits? Include all transfer credits as well as credits earned at NDSU.
- Do you have to officially declare a minor to include it on the application? Yes.
- Where do I indicate that I have a double major? You can type both majors in the same line.
- Do you require a title page or header for the essay? No, but you should type your name and ID # in the upper left-hand corner of each page.
- This is my first semester as a transfer student at NDSU. What do I state as my cumulative grade point average? We will consider your cumulative grade point average from your previous school. Include the name of your previous school on the same line as the cumulative gpa.
- Will you accept my application electronically through e-mail? NO! Please submit your application to Ms. Susan Council in Barry Hall, room 100A.
- How will I be notified if I am awarded a scholarship? Letters will be mailed to the college mailing address unless you indicate that it should be sent to the permanent address.
- How do I calculate a grade point average? Go to the “GPA Calculator” on the College of Business web site: www.ndsu.edu/business/student_resources
