NDSU Payment Plans

Thank you for your interest in an NDSU Payment Plan. NDSU currently provides two payment plans:

• Payment Plan Agreement for Fall 2007 – If you complete this Fall 2007 plan, you may still apply for a Spring 2008 Payment Plan at a later date.
   
• Payment Plan Agreement for Fall 2007 and Spring 2008 – This is a combined plan for both semesters.  If you apply for this plan and you decide not to attend the Spring 2008 semester, the payment plan will conclude with the final billing date of 12/1/07 for the Fall charges.  The Payment Plan Enrollment Fee is $25 per semester.

Instructions:

• The calculation of the monthly payment includes all charges (excluding rent) that may be billed to a student, less any financial aid that may be received.  Financial aid includes any loans, scholarships, waivers or grants that will be applied to the students account balance. 
• NDSU’s rent payments are to be paid on a monthly basis in addition to the Payment Plan Agreement.
• The Monthly Payment will be calculated on actual charges.  Additional charges added or financial aid applied after a billing date will adjust future Monthly Payments.
• Statements will be processed on the 20th of the month with payments due the 1st of the following month.  Due dates are as follows:

• Fall 2007 – 8/1/07, 9/1/07, 10/1/07, 11/1/07, 12/1/07
• Spring 2008 – 1/1/08, 2/1/08, 3/1/08, 4/1/08, 5/1/08
• If applying for the 10 month plan for both semesters or the 5 month plan for Fall 2007, and the application is being completed between 7/21/07 through 8/15/07, then the first Estimated Monthly Payment should be mailed with the Agreement.  The first billing will then be 9/1/07.
• The student’s signature is required on the form.  If another individual will be making payments, then this signature may be added.  NDSU will need to have a completed FERPA form on file to communicate with the additional signer.

NDSU has purchased additional software which we anticipate will be functional by Spring 2008.  This new software will allow students to apply for and manage their Payment Plan on line.
