The Anonymous People
6 p.m.

The NDSU Counseling Center, in collaboration with NDSU’s Office of Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention Programs and Campus Attractions, is excited to show The Anonymous People as part of our Transforming Youth Recovery (TYR) Initiative.  The focus of the Initiative is to build awareness and support within the NDSU community for our students currently in recovery or choosing to live a sober lifestyle.

Anonymous People, a documentary film about the 23.5 million Americans living in long-term recovery from addiction to alcohol and other drugs, will be shown on Wednesday, April 1st (6:00 PM, Century Theater).  For more information about the film please see: www.manyfaces1voice.org/.  At the conclusion of the film,  a distinguished panel including Dr. Todd Lewis – NDSU Counselor Education, Mike Kaspari , RN – agency director of First Step Recovery, and Kevin Doran – NDSU student will discuss personal stories, challenges associated with stigma, and building a community that supports recovery.  Our overall intent is to educate the campus-community about the recovery process and the recovery movement, so that we can better empower our students.

Please feel free to contact Amber Bach-Gorman by email or at 231-7677 regarding any questions you may have about the event.  Click for further details about Transforming Youth Recovery (TYR)
