What is the Agriculture Career Fair, and what students attend?

The Agriculture Career Fair is an annual event attended by undergraduate and graduate students in agriculture-related majors. NDSU alumni are welcome to attend as well. The Agriculture Career Fair provides an excellent opportunity to connect with students to discuss or interview for current and/or future career-related employment and co-op/internship opportunities. Last year 54 employers and over 300 students attended this event.

When and how do I receive information about the Agriculture Career Fair?

You will automatically receive registration information by email for the Agriculture Career Fair if you are registered with the NDSU Career Center and have recruited for ag-related majors. If you are not sure if you are registered, please contact Natalie Singman at 701-231-6290 or natalie.singman@ndsu.edu .

How do I register for the Agriculture Career Fair?

Registration deadline is Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 5:00 p.m.
If registering after the October 22nd deadline, the registration fee will be $400.

What is the registration fee, and what does it include?

The registration fee for the Agriculture Career Fair is $200. The registration fee includes one six-foot table, two chairs, and refreshments.

The registration fee must be paid before the October 22nd deadline to reserve your booth. If registering after the October 22nd deadline the registration fee will be $400 (if space is available).

How can I pay for the registration fee?

The registration fee may be paid by check or credit card and must be received by Tuesday, October 22nd to reserve your booth, be included on the map, and to avoid a $50 late fee. 

Checks should be made payable to NDSU Career Center and mailed to:

What is the cancellation/refund policy?

Agriculture Career Fair: Cancellation notification is appreciated so we may inform students. Refund of the registration fee (MINUS a $50 administrative fee) will be given for cancellations received by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22nd. There is no refund of the registration fee for cancellations after October 22, 2013.

What is an electronic ad and how can I purchase one?

Electronic ads will be displayed on the jumbo display screens during the Agriculture Career Fair. They will also be displayed on the Agriculture Career Fair webpage and on NDSU's electronic job board, CAREERlink. The ad will cost $50 and may include a logo and short statement. If interested, select this option on the registration form.

The last day to submit an ad is Tuesday, October 22nd.

Where do I ship displays and materials for the Agriculture Career Fair?

There will be a $25 fee (payable to The UPS Store) for delivery of display/materials.

REQUIRED:

  • Contact Jeff, The UPS Store at 701-235-9505 to arrange payment and receive shipping address.
  • UNPAID SHIPMENTS WILL BE REFUSED by the UPS Store and not be delivered to the event.
  •  Displays may be shipped up to one week in advance of the event to the UPS Store.

NOTE: The NDSU Career Center and/or the NDSU Memorial Union will not accept displays/materials.

Where can I unload my vehicle for the Agriculture Career Fair?

Visitors Lot - South side of Memorial Union
Students with yellow badges will be available to assist in the unloading/loading process.
Parking is FREE; you will receive a permit via email a week before the event.

Who should I contact to set up interviews after the Agriculture Career Fair?

Be sure to book your rooms well in advance. To reserve an interview room or to get information on scheduling an on-campus interview date anytime during the semester contact our Recruiting Coordinator, Karen Jevning at 701-231-8464 or karen.jevning@ndsu.edu.
