What is Meet the Firms, and what students attend?

Meet the Firms is an annual event attended by accounting and accountancy students. The Fair provides an excellent opportunity to connect with students to discuss or interview for current and/or future career-related employment and Cooperative Education and Internship opportunities. Last year over 450 students attended this event.

This event is open to NDSU, Concordia and MSUM students majoring in Accounting or Accountancy.

When and how do I receive information about Meet the Firms?

You will automatically receive registration information by email for the event if you are registered with the NDSU Career Center and have recruited for accounting or accountancy majors. If you are not sure if you are registered, please contact Natalie Singman at 701-231-6290.

How do I register for Meet the Firms?

Register Now

Registration deadline is Thursday, September 12th.
If registering after the September 12th deadline, the registration fee will be $400.
Call 701-231-6290 to find out if space is available.

What is the registration fee, and what does it include?

The registration fee for Meet the Firms is $200. Registration includes one six-foot table, two chairs and refreshments. 
The registration fee must be paid before the September 12th deadline to ensure your spot. If registering after the September 12th deadline, registration fee will be $400 (if space is available).

How can I pay for the registration fee?

The registration fee may be paid by check or credit card and must be received by September 12, to avoid a $50 late fee.

What is the cancellation/refund policy?

Cancellation notification is appreciated so we may inform students. Refund of the registration fee (MINUS a $50 administrative fee) will be given for cancellations received by September 12, 2013. There is no refund of the registration fee for cancellations after September 12, 2013.

What is an employer presentation?

Employers are given a 12-minute presentation time-slot if they select this option on the registration form. These presentations are given during the hours of Meet the Firms in a room close to the event. There are limited slots available.

What is an electronic ad and how can I purchase one?

Electronic ads will be displayed on the jumbo display screens during Meet the Firms. They will also be displayed on the Meet the Firms webpage. The ad will cost $50 and may include a logo and short statement. If interested, select this option on the registration form.

Where can I unload my vehicle for Meet the Firms?

Visitors lot - south side of Memorial Union
Students will be available to assist in the unloading/loading process
Parking is FREE; you will receive a permit by email within a week of the event.
