Career Center

FROM COLLEGE TO CAREER

The Career Center at NDSU provides services and resources for students to develop skills and learn techniques to conduct a successful job search.

Activate your CAREERlink account to apply for Jobs and Co-op/Internships, sign up for on-campus interviews and find employers who hire NDSU students.

Explore resources such as identifying skills and interests, exploring NDSU majors, investigating occupations and gaining experience that will assist in your career planning.

Begin to develop your resume by identifying your strengths, skills, experiences and accomplishments on your own or login to CAREERlink to utilize our on-line resume development system.  A letter of application is the most common form of cover letter requested by a potential employer.  Other forms of letters you may want to write include inquiry, acceptance, thank-you, and networking.

Review best practices to prepare for various types of interviews as well as identify who is Interviewing On-Campus.

Gain experience and skills in the field you've chosen and get paid at the same time. This section will help you decide if Co-op is right for you.

Find online job boards for part-time, full-time and Cooperative Education and Internships. This section also includes resources such as salary statistics, job offers and relocating.

Prepare for attending a career fair by reviewing the list of employers scheduled to attend upcoming career fairs.  Networking is an essential component of finding a job and building professional networks to benefit you throughout your career.

Learn how to best prepare for graduate or professional school applications and interviews.

The NDSU Career Center provides assistance with job search preparation for NDSU students and alumni. The Career Center does not provide career counseling nor does it offer job placement services.
