What is your First Impression?
- Doesn't look like he is looking for a job
- The untucked shirt is unprofessional; Goes too far beyond "casual"
- Not a good impression if the venue is an opportunity to meet a potential employer because it shows you're not trying very hard
- Nice guy - ready to install cable or be a big brother
Is this appropriate for a Career Fair?
- At a minimum, would tuck in the shirt and wear leather shoes if you have them, then that would pass sufficiently at a career fair. If you can afford business casual pants vs jeans would strongly advise that as you'll be compared against more sharply dressed candidates; You are making yourself more work to get past the over-relaxed attire and make yourself credible.
- A tad too relaxed
Is this appropriate for an Interview?
- Find a way to purchase at least one "interviewing" outfit or borrow something from a friend/family member if possible
- I would expect more
- Not acceptable for skilled position; For a non-skilled job could be okay
