The mission of Customer Account Services is to maintain a high level of customer support while, efficiently and accurately performing all functions in the collection of the University's accounts receivables.

Our office accomplishes its mission by operating in the following areas:

  • Maintaining the setup for the PeopleSoft Student Finance Module for accounts receivables
  • Posting charges to student and nonstudent accounts
  • Creating and distributing electronic and paper billing statements
  • Processing department deposits
  • Extending department draws and cashing department checks
  • Processing student and external customer payments
  • Reconciling general ledger accounts for cash
  • Preparing the daily commercial bank deposit
  • Reconciling department bank deposits
  • Processing and disbursing financial aid and scholarship overage checks and overpayment refunds
  • Facilitating collaborative and third party billing and payment relationships
  • Maintaining and processing tuition waivers
  • Performing collections activities on past due student accounts
  • Managing the collection of non-sufficient funds checks
  • Finding and implementing new technologies and procedures to effectively increase efficiency in the account receivables process
