Dr. Bowlin joins NDSU as head of the the Accounting and Information Systems Department. He is a professor of accounting and Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM). Dr. Bowlin holds memberships in the American Accounting Association, the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), the Society of Cost Estimating and Analysis (SCEA), and the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).

Prior to joining NDSU Dr. Bowlin served as the Coordinator of the Master of Accounting (MAcc) Program at Northern Iowa and taught graduate and undergraduate accounting courses. The courses included managerial accounting, cost accounting, governmental and not-for-profit accounting, cost management, and fundamentals of accounting.
