Thank you for visiting the College of Business at North Dakota State University. It is my pleasure to welcome you as you explore and gather information about the College. While we are relatively young as a College, having been formed in 1987, we are also one of only two business programs in North Dakota and western Minnesota accredited by AACSB International (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). AACSB International " ...represents the highest standards in the world..." for business education. Only 15% of university level business programs in the world have met the demanding standards of AACSB International accreditation.
While it is always comforting to have external validation of quality I am equally pleased to share that the College has a faculty that is competent, caring, and committed to educating our students. In the College of Business "It's all about our students". Consideration of what is in the best interest of our students guides the decisions that we make.
If you are in the process of considering our College as a possible choice for your education I can assure you that we are committed to providing an education with three critical components:
- quality academic preparation in the functional areas of business
- the opportunity to develop an enhanced understanding of global issues affecting business
- an introduction to applied technology as utilized in organizations where you will likely start a career.
You may also be interested to know that the University has made a commitment to provide a new "home" for the College of Business. Branching out as part of NDSU Downtown, our new home will provide our students with the opportunity to integrate with the heart of the business community. The new facility will combine an existing building with a new education wing and two-story auditorium for a total of 115,000 square feet. It will be a source of pride for everyone connected with the affairs of the College - students, faculty and staff, friends, and supporters. Some marvelous benefactors have moved us close to the funding goals and we are all awaiting a ground breaking announcement.
As a College, and a University, our role is to offer you opportunities to grow as a person and as a leader. I invite you to explore the opportunities that we can offer and I look forward to meeting you on campus. I want to thank you for taking the time to visit our web presence and wish you all the best as you explore the opportunities that we offer.
