The mission of the Center for Biopharmaceutical Research and Production (CBRP) is to discover and develop new and enhanced biopharmaceuticals, vaccines and diagnostics using best practices of industry and academia in order to stimulate growth of a stronger and larger biopharmaceutical industry in North Dakota.

The Center for Biopharmaceutical Research and Production was established in 2008 as a North Dakota Economic Development Center of Excellence to perform economically significant and market-driven biopharmaceuticals research, development and production.

CBRP specializes in moving biopharmaceutical discoveries from concept to clinic by assisting start-ups and partnering with existing companies. It is housed on the campus of North Dakota State University under the College of Pharmacy, Nursing, and Allied Sciences and is directed by Satish Chandran.

Through synergistic and sustainable relationships with academia, industry, federal funding agencies and the community, CBRP fuels the biopharmaceutical and life sciences sectors by helping discover and develop vaccines and biopharmaceutical treatments for challenging diseases.
