Family Financial Planning Master Program

Students Must:

  1. Practicum and Masters Paper, or a Masters thesis.
  2. Successfully complete their core requirements.
  3. Maintain a B average or better (accumulative).

Final year of study, students can choose from the following requirements:

  • Six credits of practicum at the degree granting institution such NDSU (CDFS 796) OR
  • Three credits of practicum (CDFS 796) and three credits of Master’s paper (CDFS 797) OR
  • Six credits of Master’s thesis (CDFS 798).

This online graduate program is registered by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.


Family Financial Planning Certificate Option

Students Must:

  1. Complete 18 credits that consists of six on-line courses:
  2. After completion of coursework students are eligible to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination. The CFP Board website at http://www.cfp.net provides information relating to CFP® Certification Examination.
