Therapists at the Family Therapy Center at NDSU offer services to families, couples, and individuals who see understanding and resolution to problems associated with relationships.

About the Family Therapy Center
The Family Therapy Center is located on the NDSU campus. The Center is an accredited training program administered through the Department of Child Development & Family Science at NDSU. Advanced clinical students are supervised by NDSU faculty members who are clinical members and approved supervisors of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
All therapists and supervisors firmly adhere to the standards and ethical principles as set forth by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. The confidentiality of each client is strongly maintained. |

What Types of Problems?
The Family Therapy Center at NDSU seeks to help people resolve problems that cause stress and conflict.
Common examples are:
Breakdown in family communication
Marital conflict
Parent child conflict
Child & adolescent behavior problems
Family violence
Divorce, separation and step family issues
Family farm transitions
Pre-marital issues
Depression
Anxiety
Sexual difficulties
Grief
Sexual abuse issues

Team Approach
Therapists are advanced graduate students, psychiatric residents from the UND School of Medicine, and community professionals. Therapists join in a collaborative effort to support clients and help them identify personal strengths and resources to improve their relationships and quality of life.August 24, 2006/FONT>
FEES.....
Fees for services are on a sliding scale, depending on the income and resources of the client
Fees range from $10-40 with special rates for Tri-College students or staff $5.00.
No one will be refused services based solely on the inability to pay.

Location....
We are located at 1260 University Drive, near where 13th Avenue North meets University Drive. The Family Therapy Center is a three story brick home, directly behind Ceres Hall on NDSU campus. Parking is free behind the building. Handicap accessibility through the front of the building.
