Summer in Europe - Program Costs
PROGRAM FEES for our 2013 trip are shown -- 2014 costs may vary
Discount for early application! $1,700 and €3,000
Final deadline cost: $1,800 and €3,100
This program is priced in both dollars ($) and euros (€). When the Center for Global Initiatives purchases euros in March, 2013 for the program, we will bill you for the €3000 or €3100 at our euro purchase rate. For example, on an early application, if €1 = $1.25 at that time, then €3,000 X $1.25 = $3,750. Thus, $3,750 would be the "euro" amount we would bill you, plus the "dollar" amount of $1,700, for a total of $5,450. If the euro rises or falls, the cost could be more or less expensive.

Visit http:www.xe.com/ucc for an exchange rate site to see the current value of the euro to the dollar.
The program fee covers lodging, classroom rental, structured visits to various countries (including transportation, lodging and breakfast while on the road), admission fees, multiple group meals, administrative expenses, etc.
AIRFARE:
Roundtrip airfare, Fargo to Brussels, is an additional expense. Estimated cost: $1,200. We will purchase the airline tickets and bill you for the cost.
MEALS:
There will be several group dinners provided, plus breakfast in hotels whenever we stay in a hotel. You will be responsible for the remaining meals.
TUITION FOR SIX CREDIT HOURS:
Tuition for six credit hours (summer 2012 tuition was approximately $1650 for ND residents, $1735 for MN residents; may change when NDSU sets summer 2013 tuition rates).
NDSU OFFICE OF INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM FEES:
In addition to the above fees, the NDSU Office of International Programs (OIP) charges $75 in application fees and $76 for health insurance to all NDSU students who study abroad. We (CGI) will collect the $75 application fee from students for this trip and pass it on to the OIP, and OIP will direct bill each student for the travel-health insurance.
NOTE: A $300 non-refundable deposit is due with your application. $225 of the deposit will be credited toward the program fee, and $75 goes to OIP for their application fee.
