Undergraduate Programs in Chemistry, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Programs leading to the Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Biochemistry and Chemistry are available. The curriculum leading to the B.S. degree is designed to meet the standards set by the Committee on Professional Training of the American Chemical Society (ACS) for undergraduate courses. Students interested in chemistry education should consult with the School of Education.

Recommended curricula for a variety of interdisciplinary options are available from the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. These options include biochemistry, polymers and coatings, chemistry education, geochemistry, chemistry with engineering electives, and pre-medicine.

There are the several different tracks a Biochemistry or Chemistry major can persue as in the program depending on the research area of interest. All Chemistry and some Biochemistry degrees are available with an American Chemical Society Certification option. The following links are for the different "roadmaps" for earning ones Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Polymers and Coatings degree with the recommeneded courses.
