Chemistry, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

The Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology has a long history of research funding and sustained growth. In the last 10 years research expenditures in the department have doubled from approximately $1.5M to over $3M. This reflects our ongoing mission to improve our research enterprise and make a scientific impact on NDSU, the nation and the world. Our success comes from a dedicated, collegial and hardworking team of faculty that strive to bring resources to the department to provide the infrastructure for cutting edge research. The majority of research dollars in the department come from external agencies including the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, Department of Defense, and private industry.
