Admission Criteria

The Center for Child Development is operated as an education and research facility for North Dakota State University as a service to NDSU faculty and staff. With this in mind, children are admitted to the Center for Child Development based on age and developmental status. Enrollment is on a first-come first-serve basis with priority given as follows:

1. Children of Center Staff

2. Siblings of children currently enrolled in the Center

3. Children of NDSU Faculty and Staff

Children 6 weeks through 3 years are served in our Infant-Toddler rooms. Children 3 through 5 years of age are served in our Preschool room. Children eligible for kindergarten before August 1st are eligible for childcare and education services through August 15th. An exception to this policy is when an outside professional team determines that it would not be in the best interest of the child to start kindergarten and a written team recommendation is provided.
