  • Jake Joraanstad, BS ’12, computer engineering, was named to Prairie Business magazine’s “40 Under 40” list, which honors outstanding business professionals in the region. He was recognized in the “Rising to the Top” story in the December issue of the publication. He is the CEO of Myriad Devices of Fargo. He began his career while he was an NDSU student and has since grown his mobile technology company to nearly 25 employees in three years. At 24, he is the youngest person on the list. December 2013
  • Dane Braun, BS ’08, agricultural economics, MS ’10, agribusiness and applied economics, was named to Prairie Business magazine’s “40 Under 40” list, which honors outstanding business professionals in the region. He was recognized in the “Rising to the Top” story in the December issue of the publication. He is the staff executive director of the North Dakota Farmers Union in Jamestown, N.D. December 2013
  • Daniel Abeln, BS ’06, environmental design, MArch ’07, architecture, was named to Prairie Business magazine’s “40 Under 40” list, which honors outstanding business professionals in the region. He was recognized in the “Rising to the Top” story in the December issue of the publication. He is project manager architecture for EAPC Architects Engineers in Grand Forks, N.D. December 2013
  • Shawn Gaddie, BS ’03, civil engineering, was named to Prairie Business magazine’s “40 Under 40” list, which honors outstanding business professionals in the region. He was recognized in the “Rising to the Top” story in the December issue of the publication. He is the Nexus Division manager for AE2S in Grand Forks, N.D. December 2013
  • Matt Fischer, BS ’03, speech communication, MS ’06, mass communication, was named to Prairie Business magazine’s “40 Under 40” list, which honors outstanding business professionals in the region. He is promotional consultant for S&S Promotional Group and COO of GW Gear in Grand Forks, N.D. December 2013
  • Dawn Kopp, BS ’01, apparel and textiles, was named to Prairie Business magazine’s “40 Under 40” list, which honors outstanding business professionals in the region. She was recognized in the “Rising to the Top” story in the December issue of the publication. She is the executive director of the Downtown Business Association of Bismarck, N.D. December 2013
  • Jaclyn Bugbee, BS ’00, accounting, was named to Prairie Business magazine’s “40 Under 40” list, which honors outstanding business professionals in the region. She was recognized in the “Rising to the Top” story in the December issue of the publication. She is executive director of Ruth Meiers Hospitality House in Bismarck, N.D. She previously held positions with the Bismarck State College Foundation and the St. Alexius Foundation. December 2013
  • Brenda (Dockendorf) Wyland, BS ’99, facility management, was named to Prairie Business magazine’s “40 Under 40” list, which honors outstanding business professionals in the region. She was recognized in the “Rising to the Top” story in the December issue of the publication. She is director of marketing for Appareo Systems LLC in Fargo. She joined Appareo after serving as interim executive director at NDSU’s Research and Technology Park. December 2013
  • Bob LeCocq, BS ’80, animal science, received the 2013 Bruce Cottington Friend of Dairy Award from the Minnesota Milk Producers Association. He serves on various advisory committees for the association and was honored for his lifelong passion and dedication to the dairy industry. A senior financial services executive at AgStar Financial Services, he also is a founding development committee member of the Southeast Minnesota Ag-Alliance, an organization dedicated to enhancing the productivity and profitability of the southeastern Minnesota livestock and crop sectors.   • Bridget (Curley) Bullinger, BS’ 07, dietetics, was honored as the Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year by the North Dakota Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics at the North Dakota Long Term Care Association Annual Convention. She is director of culinary services for St. Benedict's Health Center in Dickinson, N.D. December 2013
