  • Michael Schellin, BS '99, environmental design, BArch '99, architecture, is president-elect for the American Institute of Architects Minneapolis Chapter board of directors for 2015. He is an associate with Kodet Architectural Group Ltd. of Minneapolis. January 2015
  • Robert Trenda, BS '95, statistics, was hired as an accountant for the RLE Group, Fargo. The firm is an architecture, interior design and marketing company. January 2015
  • Dr. Chad Vandrovec, BA '98, zoology, joined the surgical and specialty care service line at the Fargo VA Health Care System. He previously practiced at MeritCare/Sanford Health.  January 2015
  • Jason Eide, BUS '95, university studies, was promoted to manager of Enterprise Systems at NSU's Information Technology Division. Before coming to NDSU, he was the information technologies manager at the former PRACS Institute in Fargo. January 2015
  • Jennifer (Karsky) Mehrer, BS '98, business administration, joined Intelligent InSites in Fargo as a quality assurance engineer. She previously worked at Sanford Health as a business analyst. January 2015
  • Melanie Kay (Rosencrans) Cole, BS '98, psychology, became a Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse in December. She is a Registered Nurse for University of Pittsburgh Medical Center visiting nurses based in Pittsburgh. January 2015
  • Calie (Balvitsch) Larkin, BS '99, accounting, was promoted to vice president/business banking officer at Bell State Bank and Trust in Fargo. She has been a commercial credit officer at the bank for more than 12 years.  December 2014
  • Jerome Differding, BS '96, corporate and community fitness, writes that he has returned to the Fargo area after establishing his career on the West Coast. He has taken a position at Sanford Health as trauma research program manager. December 2014
  • Lonnie Wangen, BUS '95, university studies, was named the 67th president of the National Association of State Directors of Veterans Affairs. He has served as North Dakota‚Äôs commissioner of Veterans Affairs since 2008, and is only the third North Dakota director to be named to the national post. The association is comprised of directors, commissioners and secretaries from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and the five territories of Guam, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Northern Mariana Islands and the U.S. Samoa Islands. He lives in Horace, North Dakota. December 2014
  • Debra (Quigley) Sahlstrom, BS '92, athletic training, has opened a birth center in Milaca, Minnesota, called A New Story Birth Center. She has experience as an emergency medical technician, registered nurse and certified professional midwife. December 2014
