  • Michael Reich, BS ’90, PhD ’09, electrical and electronic engineering, joined Appareo Systems in Fargo as a senior electrical design engineer. He previously worked at Phoenix International and the NDSU Center for Nanoscale Science and Engineering. June 2014
  • Stacey (Bakke) Majkrzak, BS’ 99, mass communication, was named the first executive director of the Grand Forks Downtown Development Association in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She lives in Thompson, North Dakota, with her husband, Brent, and their three children. June 2014
  • Mark Azure, BS ’94, electrical engineering, was promoted to partner at Dunham Associates Inc., Minneapolis. He and his wife, Michelle, live in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, with their two children. June 2014
  • James M. Peterson, BS ’99, agricultural economics, joined First Community Credit Union as vice president for it Jamestown, North Dakota, market. He has 15 years experience in the financial services industry. June 2014
  • Nicholas Achina, BS ’90, electrical and electronic engineering, was named director of electrical engineering at ATS&R, a Minneapolis-based architectural and engineering firm. June 2014
  • Jason Bohrer, BA ’98, history, was named president and CEO of the Lignite Energy Council. He previously was chief of staff to U.S. Rep. Raul Labrador of Idaho, and was legislative counsel to U.S. Sen. James Risch of Idaho. He earned a law degree from George Mason University School of Law. He lives in Bismarck, North Dakota. May 2014
  • Thomas Peters, PhD ’91, crop and weed sciences, joined the NDSU Department of Plant Sciences as an Extension Service sugar beet agronomist with an emphasis on weed control. He retired from Monsanto after nearly 24 years with the company, where he specialized in corn trait development.  May 2014
  • Sara (Kearns) Stolt, BS ’99,
    mass communication, was promoted to director of human resources planning, learning and development at Noridian Mutual Insurance Co. She is responsible for developing learning and development strategy based on the organization's strategy, values, executive goals and business need.  April 2014
  • Jason Schmidt, BS ’93, animal science, was elected regional vice president of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Policy Division, representing the organization’s Region 7. He is an executive committee member representing beef producers in North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas. He runs a fourth-generation commercial cow-calf operation near Medina, N.D. March 2014
  • David Karels, BS ’90, construction management, is president of G6 Construction Services, a new firm offering construction management, development, consulting and general contracting services in the Fargo area. March 2014
