  • Jacob Thielbar, BS ’02, electrical engineering, was named to the Faribault, Minnesota, Sports Hall of Fame. In high school, he played football and was a two-time state tournament wrestler. He also wrestled at NDSU. November 2014
  • Joshua Kueber, BS ’09, civil engineering, joined Ulteig in Fargo as a civil engineer. He most recently worked for SRF Consulting in Fargo as a senior engineer. November 2014
  • JoVal Wettlaufer, BS ’05,
    human performance and fitness, MS ’09, health, nutrition and exercise science, joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota as a member education consultant. Her responsibilities include planning, coordinating and presenting information for employer groups. She previously worked at the NDSU Wallman Wellness Center. October 2014
  • Amanda Kohn Running, BS ’09, environmental design, MArch ’10, architecture, passed her Architectural Registration Exam and is licensed to practice as an architect in Virginia. She works for Guernsey Tingle Architects of Williamsburg, Virginia. She lives in James City County, Virginia. October 2014
  • Lacey Unruh, BS ’09, psychology, joined the adult services team at Lakeland Mental Health Center, Moorhead.  October 2014
  • Jessica Holkup, BS ’03, history, was promoted to senior operations specialist for Discovery Benefits in Fargo. October 2014
  • Cheryl Duvall, BS ’06, agricultural economics, was named executive director of the Northern Plains Sustainable Agriculture Society. She manages Chirping Tree Farm, a Greenhouse and Ag-Education farm in Lisbon, North Dakota. October 2014
  • David Joseph Sperl, PharmD ’09, pharmacy, was promoted to pharmacist-In-charge At Essentia Health - St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota. October 2014
  • Alexander Berg, BS ’05, PhD ’08, pharmaceutical sciences, PharmD ’10, pharmacy, received the 2014 McKeen Cattell Award from the American College of Clinical Pharmacology for his publication in the Journal of Clinical Pharmacology. The honor recognizes an outstanding research paper published in the journal. The article was titled “Population Pharmacokinetic Model for Cancer Chemoprevention With Sulindac in Healthy Subjects.” Berg is a senior clinical research scientist for the clinical pharmacology group of Upsher-Smith Laboratories Inc. September 2014
  • Cullen Wells, BS ’06, computer engineering, joined Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services Inc., known as AE2S, as an instrumentation and controls systems engineer in the firm’s Fargo office. August 2014
