Hometown: McIntosh, Minn.
“Fargo is a nice fit. I’m a farm kid, so I like being in the city but also close to my roots. I just felt like it was where I was supposed to be, and the engineering program is renowned.”
Tell me about ag engineering:
“I like how hands-on everything is and how mostly everything in engineering can be applied to any real life situation.”

How has NDSU prepared you for your future?
“Connecting companies with students is a big one. They make it really easy for you to go and try to work somewhere you’ve always wanted to work.”
“I have so many different interests and I can do anything I want. I can make race cars. I can work on farm equipment. I can go and design equipment for an assembly line. You can do anything you want.”
Why ag engineering?
“I basically grew up with my brother, so I was always outside working on stuff. Always in the shop. I love learning how things work. I was brought up doing that kind of stuff. It just seemed like that major would help me continue what I’ve already been doing, my interests and what I’m good at.”
What are your thoughts on Fargo?
“I really like Fargo. It’s a big enough town, but you are constantly seeing people you know everywhere. It’s a good community, there’s good people in it.”
