Master's Students

Hailey Adkisson is a second-year master's student and a graduate teaching assistant. Her research interests include vocational socialization and the role race and class play regarding access to higher education. Hailey is currently teaching Fundamentals of Public Speaking (COMM 110).

Keith Bistodeau is a first-year master’s student, graduate teaching assistant and the Director of the NDSU Speech and Debate Team. His research interests include organizational communication and rhetoric. He is currently teaching Fundamentals of Public Speaking (COMM 110), Oral Performance Studies (COMM 312) and Forensics Practice (COMM 150).

Jenna Currie is a first-year master’s student, graduate teaching assistant, research assistant and Assistant Director of the NDSU Speech and Debate Team. She is currently teaching Fundamentals of Public Speaking (COMM 110) and co-teaching Intercultural Communication (COMM 216).

Kayley Erlandson is a first-year master’s student and teaching assistant. Her research interests include the effects that media and popular culture have on society. Kayley is currently teaching Fundamentals of Public Speaking (COMM 110).

Tara Freed is a second-year master’s student and graduate teaching assistant. Her research interest includes the mutually informing concepts of identification and socialization, specifically how involuntary organizational exit influences professional and organizational identifications. She is teaching Fundamentals of Public Speaking (COMM 110).

Miwa Ito is a second-year master’s student and graduate teaching assistant. She studies organizational communication, with a focus on identities and intergroup process in the workplace. She is currently teaching Fundamentals of Public Speaking (COMM 110).

Jaishikha Nauitiyal is a second-year master's student in the department of Communication. Her research interests focus on rhetorical and critical theory. She is teaching two sections of Fundamentals of Public Speaking (COMM 110) this semester.

Katie Ralston is a first-year master's student and graduate teaching assistant. She is currently teaching Fundamentals of Public Speaking (COMM 110).

Jessica Rick is a second-year master's student and graduate teaching assistant. Her research focuses on the organizational communication, specifically organizational identification and socialization. She is currently teaching Fundamentals of Public Speaking (COMM 110) and serves as the department's assistant undergraduate advisor.

Shweta Sharma is a second-year master’s student. Her research quest is directed toward interpersonal and family communication with a focus on adolescents and substance abuse. She is currently teaching Fundamentals of Public Speaking (COMM 110).

Ruoxu Wang is a second-year master's student and graduate teaching assistant. She studies mass communication and is currently teaching Fundamentals of Public Speaking (COMM 110). Her research interests include new media, social media and visual communication. Besides studying and teaching, she also does freelance graphic and web design.
