NDSU's student-produced newspaper offers all students, regardless of major, the opportunity to learn all facets of print journalism - reporting, photography, editing, advertising sales, design and management - at a professional level.  Spectrum staff also participate on the Student Media Board, the governing entity that oversees the Spectrum, Bison Information Network, and KNDS.

The Spectrum is online and printed twice weekly during the academic year.

At The Spectrum, students have the opportunity to gain real-world experience and develop their verbal and written communication skills while also getting paid. Students can become involved as a writer for one of our five sections (news, features, arts & entertainment, opinion and sports) or a photographer.

If you are interested in becoming involved at The Spectrum email editor@ndsuspectrum.com or visit our office on the second floor of the Memorial Union.

For more information, contact Dr. Ross Collins, Spectrum advisor.
