Fargo-Moorhead enjoys four full seasons, with sunshine approximately 200 days of the year.

  • Spring is regularly warm and sunny around March and early April; the first 70 degree day, on average, is April 17.
  • Summers are warm and pleasant with very few days of high heat or humidity.
  • Autumn is delightfully crisp and cool; peak leaf color-watching time is usually the first week in October.
  • Winters are cold but not damp; skies are frequently sunny. Winter weather is comparable to Minneapolis and Chicago. Snowfall averages 36 inches.
