- Samuel Caven, a senior student in Construction Management Program, has been awarded a $4,000 scholarship for the 2013-2014 academic year by the AACE International Education Board.

- The 2012 International Conference on Construction and Real Estate Management (ICCREM 2012) was successfully held in Kansas City from Oct. 1-2, 2012. 341 abstracts were submitted, of them 188 were published in the conference proceedings. 64 presentations were given in the two-day conference. - Dr. Yong Bai was selected as the chair of the Department of Construction Management and Engineering. He started the department chair duties in July, 2012.
- Drs. Asa and Gao were promoted to associate professor with tenure in spring 2012.
