Counseling Center

Ronni Arensberg, Psy.D., LP

Hi, my name is Ronni and I am a staff member in the Counseling Center. I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in North Dakota. I received a Bachelor’s degree from New York University (New York, NY), and a Master’s degree and Psy.D. from Florida Institute of Technology (Melbourne, FL). I am very interested in mindfulness-based psychotherapy and meditation, as well as issues of peace and diversity.

“Let yourself be open and life will be easier. A spoon of salt in a glass of water makes the water undrinkable. A spoon of salt in a lake is almost unnoticed.” ~Buddha

"There isn’t any such thing as a negative emotion. There are negative things that we do with our emotions, but our emotions themselves are neither negative nor positive. They simply are." ~Robert Augustus Masters

"Stress is caused by being 'here' but wanting to be 'there.'" ~Eckhart Tolle

"Things falling apart is a kind of testing and also a kind of healing. We think that the point is to pass the test or to overcome the problem, but the truth is that things don't really get solved. They come together and they fall apart. Then they come together again and fall apart again. It's just like that. The healing comes from letting there be room for all of this to happen: room for grief, for relief, for misery, for joy"~Pema Chodron
