Counselor
Educational Counseling and
Chemical Dependency Services Coordinator

Hi, my name is Ann Stark-Booth and I am one of the counseling staff here at the NDSU Counseling Center. In addition to providing counseling services to students, I also serve as coordinator for our office in the areas of Educational Counseling Services and Chemical Dependency Counseling Services on campus. I also teach EDUC 123: Study Skills each semester.
I received a Bachelor’s degree from NDSU and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Marquette University (Milwaukee, WI) and then returned to Fargo to be near my family and pursue licensure in North Dakota. My clinical emphasis throughout my professional training has been in studying and working in areas of dual diagnosis. I also have strong interests in clinician self-care and its impact on the therapeutic relationship.
Currently, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Addiction Counselor in North Dakota. I enjoy my work immensely, and view it as a very rewarding opportunity to be involved in the process of helping students. In my free time I love running, reading and spending time with my family.
"But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself." --From Desiderata by Max Erhmann.
