Sr. Chemical Process Engineer

In this role you will primarily be responsible for taking the lead in developing new pre-treatment and paint processes across MetoKote Corporation. Working closely with customers, systems and quality engineers, operations leadership, and materials suppliers, you will create coating processes that optimize quality, productivity, and cost.

Additionally the Sr. Chemical Process Engineer will:

• Provide coating process expertise to MetoKote facilities across the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, South America, and Asia.
• Contribute to application R&D activity by defining and evaluating new technologies that enhance our service offering and ability to meet changing customer expectations.
• Provide leadership to MetoKote’s A2LA accredited coating laboratories. 

The successful candidate will possess the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Coatings Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, equations, and the application of them to Coating Application Processes.
• Demonstrated R&D successes with coating technologies, coating processes, or coating equipment.
• Ability to analyze pre-treatment and coating process data, test results, and part samples and recommend process and line improvement actions.  
• In depth knowledge of coatings performance standards and test methods.
• Experience planning and managing R&D and capital equipment projects.
