Annual Open House!
The Core Biology and Core Synthesis Facilities held their annual open house on October 12, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. The Core Synthesis Facility had demos in Dunbar 156.
Staff at the Core Biology Facility were on hand to provide tours and the NDSU Fisher Rep was available to discuss the Fisher Replenishment System.
Fisher Scientific hosted a Supplier Show on October 4th! Everyone was welcome to stop in the Memorial Union Rose Room between 10:30 and 12:30. The CPR Core Facilities also be participated with booths at the show. Enjoy snacks and door prizes and visit about your research!
The Core Synthesis Facility (CSF) was established in April 2008 to assist with principal investigator's research by providing synthetic and analytical services. We are equipped with state-of-art instrumentation and can carry out all modern synthetic technologies: we specialize in the synthesis of small molecules for biological applications. We also offer quantitative and qualitative analyses of substrates using HPLC and LC-MS. The facility enjoys a successful track record of achievements through service, collaborations, and interdisciplinary interactions.
"The professional research and service from the Core Synthesis Facility was critical for our research. They successfully synthesized the commercially unavailable spin trap agent, D9-POBN." Dr Steven Qian, Pharmaceutical Sciences.
