Distance and Continuing Education offers a variety of classes and certificates ranging from ones that can be used for a degree program to others for personal or professional growth. We encourage you to browse through all the classes and certificates in this section to find the classes that are right for you. Be sure to look through the additional course information to determine if the class will meet your specific needs.
Categories of Classes
These are some of the identification terms you will see in the list of all classes. These terms identify what type of class it is. Click on the appropriate term to find a quick definition of what the term means.
CEU - indicates the number of continuing education units the class is offered for.
CD/DVD - indicates the class is delivered on a CD or DVD.
Combo - indicates the class is delivered with some face-to-face and some distance-based requirements.
Credits - indicates the number of credits the class is offered for.
Mail - indicates the class is delivered print-based or by correspondence.
NC or non-credit - indicates the class type.
Non-credit Certificates - indicates the certificate type.
Online - indicates the class is delivered online.
Image of a state or Face-to-Face - indicates the class is delivered face-to-face in the city listed.
Course Level Designations
Course level designations distinguish between undergraduate, post-baccalaureate professional development, and graduate-level classes. All classes are accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
