Trends & Issues: Changes in Education
This course will focus on the changes in education and in the classroom and how student success will be affected by these changes through technology, global competition, the Internet, political and governmental influences and business.
As a result of participation in this course students should:
- Learn about trends and issues of the past that have influenced education in a positive and negative direction.
- Review the history and philosophy of education to understand the past and its influence on the present.
- Learn about new trends that are influencing the classroom in curriculum, testing, assessments and critical thinking.
