How to Study and Succeed in College
This program is designed to provide participants with the kinds of skills necessary for successful academic achievement in a competitive environment. Instruction is based on research about the study skills which have been found to influence academic success. Feedback from previous participants indicates that knowing how to study and that discussing the problems which frequently arise in a college classroom help in preparing to meet such challenges successfully and confidently.
The cost of a four-year college education rises each year. Because college attendance is a major financial investment for families and students, this program focuses on those skills which can help maximize a student’s potential while putting this investment to work in the classroom.
Besides answering many individualized questions of college-bound students, the How to Study and Succeed program will include the following five areas:
- Time Management
- Study Methods
- Listening and Concentration
- Test Taking Skills
- Motivation
