This Conference explores the different aspects of high school athletic administration from the local level up through National organizations. The course will investigate various techniques, models and strategies that school districts employ in developing policies, procedures/rules that are associated with athletic administration. The conference will also use guest presenters speaking on various schools athletic administration topics. The clinic will begin on Saturday, April 6 at 8:00 am and continue through Monday, April 8 at 2:00 pm. Each participant will complete 22 contact hours by attending all conference sessions.
Objectives:
The primary objectives of this course are to:
1. Introduce school athletic administration strategies.
2. Examine basic concepts and then specifically analyze how these concepts can apply to various schools athletic administrative procedures.
3. To demonstrate an understanding of ethics and ethical decision making in athletic administration.
4. To introduce information about issues involved in school athletic administration.
