Spotlight on Young Children and Assessment
Sound, high-quality assessment can be a powerful tool in improving teaching and learning. This training will address the purposes of and uses for assessment. You will also be given an overview of the topics and offered specific examples that show how assessment informs and improves practice in early childhood education. This class will meet three times for a focused discussion about the powerful ways you can use assessment with the children in your care. You will receive credit for completing projects with the children in your care and sharing your results with fellow child care providers. This learning format is meaningful, engaging, innovative, and worthwhile.
