The Misunderstood Child

This course is an overview of the child’s world in learning differences and disabilities related to assessment, evaluation, and diagnosis of the child with sensory integration problems, autism, dyslexia, Aspergers Syndrome, ADD, ADHD, LD, and giftedness.
Objectives:
- Learn about the concept of learning disabilities, history of diseases, connections to social and learning problems, the evaluation and treatment process, the relationship in giftedness and school success.
- Understanding and incorporating the above goals into classroom lesson plans will provide help to individual students, that will help increase student achievement.
