This is a screen shot of the course template. At the top, a custom banner has been added. Custom banners are available upon request. As is visible, the Announcements area contains a sample message that can be modified to suit an introductory message for any course.

The navigation bar of the course has also been tailored. This navigation menu can be easily modified to suit any course curriculum plan. The appearance color and text can also be modified.

The Syllabus link is already complete with instructions regarding uploading an actual course syllabus, and includes a placeholder for a syllabus orientation quiz.

The Units/Lessons links demonstrates a course curriculum layout, divided by units. The term "Units" can be modified to another at the instructor's discretion. Additional Units may also be added.

Within Unit 1, a sample lesson layout has been added. The term "Lesson" can be modified to another at the instructor's discretion. Additional Lessons may also be added.

Lesson 1 has already been laid out with sample content. All portions of this content can be modified to suit any course lesson.

Lesson 1 also contains a sample "Assignment." The Assignment feature is newer to Blackboard, and is designed to replace the "Digital Dropbox" feature of past Blackboard versions. The Assignment feature is synchronized with the Gradebook. This Assignment feature sample already contains instructions for use, which can be modified to suit any course.

At the Unit level, placeholders for Unit-end testing have been provided. One of the examples contains one sample question for each type of exam question supported by Blackboard, as a reference.

The template also contains a Discussion Board. The first post has been provided as a guide, and also includes instructions for using the Discussion Board.

A Technical Support page is also part of the template, and includes ready answers to some common questions, along with information about how to get additional assistance.
